Privacy Policy

Overview

Gus GLP-1 ("the App") is built around a simple principle: your health data belongs to you. The App requires no account, collects no personal information, and sends no data to any server. Everything stays on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Account credentials of any kind
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage events
• Crash reports sent to third-party services

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device using SwiftData:

• Meal logs: The GLP-1 categories you logged for each meal, optional notes, and timestamps
• Daily check-ins: Your hunger, energy, and mood ratings logged during morning and end-of-day check-ins
• Streaks and settings: Your current streak, app preferences, and kickstart progress
• Favorite recipes: Recipes you have saved within the App
• Meal photos: Photos you optionally attach to meal logs are stored as JPEG files in the App's local Documents directory. Photos are automatically deleted after 30 days by default. You can adjust or disable this in Settings.

None of this data is transmitted to any server or third party under any circumstances.

HealthKit

If you grant permission, the App reads from and writes to Apple HealthKit for the following data types:

• Dietary protein (grams)
• Dietary fiber (grams)
• Dietary fat (grams)
• Mindfulness sessions
• State of Mind (iOS 18 and later)

HealthKit data is accessed on-device only. It is never transmitted to any server, sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising purposes. You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings app under Privacy and Security - Health.

The App does not use HealthKit data for any purpose other than the features described within the App itself.

iCloud Sync

The App offers optional iCloud sync powered by Apple's CloudKit service. This feature is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it:

• Your meal logs, check-ins, and settings are synced across your Apple devices using your personal iCloud account
• This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
• We do not have access to your iCloud data
• You can disable iCloud sync in the App's Settings at any time

Meal Photos

Photos you attach to meal logs are stored as JPEG files in the App's local Documents directory on your device. They are not uploaded to any server or cloud service (unless iCloud Drive backs up your device, which is governed by Apple's policies and your own iCloud settings). Photos are automatically deleted after your configured retention period (default: 30 days). You can delete individual photos or all photos at any time from within the App.

Data Export

The App allows you to export your meal logs as a JSON or CSV file, optionally with meal photos attached, so you can share them with a nutritionist or health provider. This export is initiated manually by you and is sent only to the destination you choose (for example, your email app). We do not receive a copy of exported data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The App's age rating on the App Store is 4+, reflecting the absence of objectionable content, not an endorsement for unsupervised use by young children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version at getgusapp.com/privacy and update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
